Drivers invited to participate in survey on upcoming College Station road work

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Drivers are encouraged to participate in a survey on an upcoming project at the intersection of George Bush Drive and Wellborn Road.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the existing intersection, which has not been improved in more than 20 years, can no longer efficiently handle the growing number of travelers.

The upcoming project is set to include an overpass, which will allow pedestrians, vehicles, and trains to have their own pathways.

Construction on the Bush-Wellborn Crossing Project is expected to begin in Spring 2026. However, TxDOT is still working towards finalizing the design and construction process.
