Two injured in Marlin apartment complex fire airlifted to hospital

MARLIN, Texas (KWTX) - Two people were injured in an apartment fire Friday in Marlin, according to the Marlin Police Department.

The fire broke out at 9 p.m. at the Green Street Apartments in the 200 block of Green Street.

Both victims sustained injuries described as possibly third-degree burns, police said.

They were transported by helicopter to a hospital just after 10 p.m.

Marlin volunteer firefighters, Marlin City firefighters, and Marlin Police Department responded to the scene.

Crews contained the fire to a single unit and extinguished it quickly, according to police. The department said the fire appeared to be a grease fire.
