Ramblewood residents say they're happy with the changes, despite complaints

Despite some residents telling KBTX that they feel that some of the changes made to the Ramblewood Manufactured Home Community are unfair, others are speaking out, saying these new changes have made the park a better place.

Joseph and Angelina Byrd have lived at the park for five years. They say that since new management took over, there have been notable improvements.

Joseph said that the park used to be like "the Wild West." He says that there would be wild dog attacks, drugs would be dealt, the water was yellow and dirty, and that a neighbor who used to drive around drunk firing his gun has stopped doing so.

He displayed a copy of a violation notice that he got, showing that he too was getting written up for things violating the rules. He believes that the notice proves that the new management is not acting in a discriminatory way.

"All you have to do is mow your yard, wash your trailer and play by the rules...keep the music down, don't drive through the park shooting your gun... you know, don't deal dope," Joseph said. http://www.kbtx.com/content/news/Brazos-County-mobile-home-community-pushes-back-after-problems-with-new-management-389115062.html
