BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - You don’t need a new set of fall decorations to make your home feel like the season has arrived. According to Stacie Caffey and Emily Myers from Revival Living Interiors, a few simple additions to what you already have can do the trick.

According to Caffey and Myers, transitioning a space for fall doesn’t require buying all new decorations. Instead, they recommend taking everyday decor and adding fall touches to it.

Start with what you have

Caffey said homeowners who feel overwhelmed by the idea of redecorating should keep it simple.

“If that overwhelms you, don’t do it,” Caffey said. “Just go buy some simple pumpkins or fall foliage or something like that brings you joy.”

For an everyday vase with greenery, Caffey suggested adding fall foliage to the arrangement. The same approach works for a front door wreath, according to Myers, who recommended adding a ribbon with a leaf pattern to spruce it up for the season.

The pair also suggested adding miniature white pumpkins to a bowl that might otherwise sit empty between seasons.

Bringing in fabrics and texture

Heavier throws, different textures and fall colors can be added to a home even before the weather changes.

Pillows can also be swapped for the season, including plaid options for both indoor and outdoor furniture.

For table settings, an everyday charger and plate can be updated with a feather for added texture.

Caffey and Myers said these small additions to existing decor can help transition a home into the fall season without requiring a full shopping trip.
