Scales, Tails & Crawlers brings hands-on reptile encounters to local students
Hands-on animal encounters highlight interactive learning for Franklin ISD
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Scales, Tails & Crawlers, a small reptile encounter business operated by siblings Eden and Grayson Brinkmeyer, provides hands-on animal education to local schools and community events across the Brazos Valley.
Two of their most popular animal ambassadors, a male ball python named Snickers and a female hognose snake named Oatmeal, regularly accompany the siblings on educational visits. During demonstrations, the Brinkmeyers teach students how to properly care for reptiles, design appropriate habitats and understand each species’ unique physical traits.
In addition to snakes, the duo introduces audiences to several other reptiles, including tortoises and leopard geckos.
Scales, Tails & Crawlers will visit Franklin ISD for the district’s STEAM night, giving students a hands-on learning experience alongside approximately 30 other participating organizations.
More information on booking encounters and educational visits is available at scalestailsandcrawlers.com.
